Are you a highschooler who loves to thrift?

Volunteer with Threads of Hope thrift shop! We need help sorting donations and helping keep the store clean and organized. This is a great opportunity for fulfilling community service hours and giving back to the community!

Threads of Hope is a mission-driven thrift store. All profits benefit Catholic Charities Maine’s 20+ social service programs state-wide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greeting customers
  • Sorting and organizing clothing donations
  • Cleaning larger items and adding them to store displays and merchandise
  • Moving furniture
  • Organizing and cleaning the store
  • Hauling bags to the storage trailer
  • Emptying the trash
  • Helping staff with other tasks as needed

Qualifications & Skills Required:

  • Ability to stand for a few hours at a time in 3-5 hour shifts
  • Ability to lift and carry 20-40 pounds regularly
  • Good customer service skills
  • Dependability and honesty a MUST!

Time Commitment/Schedule: 4-hour shifts, typically four or five days per week. Ongoing commitment of six months or longer. Fridays and Saturdays a MUST.

Volunteers receive a 10% discount on any store purchases.
