Availability/Time Commitment: variable hours needed, may depend on volunteer availability

Scheduling is flexible, but we are looking for someone who can reliably serve approximately 5-10 hours/week for a minimum of 12 weeks.

Position description: This is an unpaid volunteer position, providing data entry and organization help to the State Refugee Health Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities:

• Qualifications & Skills Required: Reliably and carefully enter data into secure databases.
• Impact of opportunity: The volunteer will support the mission of the Office of Maine Refugee Services, Catholic Charities Maine by assisting in the organization, maintenance, and upkeep of a health-related database. The volunteer will gain knowledge and real-world experience of medical data entry.
• Solid computer skills – especially Microsoft Office/Excel.
• Maturity, professionalism, initiative, sound judgment, and dependability required. Confidence and self-motivation to work independently in challenging situations. Strong interpersonal skills and desire to work closely in a team setting
• Dependability and commitment to task.

Training Offered: Catholic Charities Maine Volunteer Orientation & training, strong day-to-day, on-going supervisory support on a per-project basis by the Office of Maine Refugee Services.
