Portland, Maine - Catholic Charities Maine’s Parish Social Ministry program offering scholarships for several upcoming formational Prison Ministry trainings, which can be viewed on the flyer below. All cohorts will be held virtually, on the Zoom platform. The next cohort runs on Wednesdays at 7:30 PM from February 7 to April 17. Additional cohorts will be offered throughout 2024 and are offered in English and Spanish.
The standards for this training program were approved by the USCCB Subcommittee on Certification for Ecclesial Ministry and Service in September 2021. The program consists of six one-hour facilitated synchronous Zoom sessions with expected readings and preparation between sessions. Pre-requisites include endorsement by the pastor his delegate.
